While Royal Mail's own website has been somewhat unreliable and difficult to use of late, the Diamond Jubilee miniature sheet will probably remain available for some months at the original issue price (along with many other recent Royal mail stamp issues) at Royal Mail's eBay store.

In my opinion the 2012 Diamond Jubilee miniature sheet is a significant improvement on some rather disappointing stamp offerings from Royal Mail of late although, I must admit, this opinion may reflect my tendancy to appreciate the reproduction of designs that were created and used in days gone by!

The miniature sheet is printed in gravure with a metallic ink being used on the stamps featuring coins and an iridescent ink on the new 1st class Machin stamp and the miniature sheet's background design.

The self-adhesive diamond blue Machin 1st Class definitive will also be available in sheets, retail books and business sheets from February 2nd 2012 with the words 'Diamond Jubilee' used in the background security text.
