Artwork For Stamps Of The George VI Era Now Viewable Online
The BPMA has announced the digitisation of commemorative stamp artwork from the reign of George VI has been completed and it is now possible for online visitors to view more than 400 records of King George VI commemorative postage stamps via their online catalogue.
Among the commemorative stamps featured are those produced to mark the King's Coronation, the centenary of the 1840 Penny Black, stamps to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and designs commemorating the liberation of the Channel Islands from German occupation during World War 2.
Additionally, nearly 200 registration sheets from the reign of George V, including Mackennal Profiles, have also been added to their catalogue.
