Author and W H Auden scholar Mr David Collard will explore the work of the GPO Film Unit, screening a variety of rarely seen short films, including Night Mail itself. The much-loved Night Mail film was, in fact, just one of five cinematic collaborations between Auden and Britten.
The 75th anniversary of Night Mail event takes place in London on 6th october 2011 and is open to all. Entry is free and the proceedings will start at 6:30pm and should end by around 8:00pm.
